Two 'M' prefixes cannot be together 4 Space and '(' prefixes can appear any number of times after one of the alpha prefixes, e.g. A,Space,(,(,B,M,Space 5 For 1979-1982 registrations the code immediately prior to an 'M' prefix will be a Chapter 2 cancer code (ICD 1400-2394). Although an 'M' code always requires a preceding cancer code, a cancer code does not always require a following 'M' code. |
