| description | This field is present from 1996 onwards only. The code is derived during the online Communal Establishment coding process, using the postcode of place of death, PCDPOD. It links HLTHAUX on the OGSS Postcode file PNAACMyy, or 'History File' PNAACHyy with HLTHROX on the OGGS Health file PNAAEMyy (where yy=year of file) to find the correct value. Values are present for all communal establishment and elsewhere deaths; deaths at home (coded H) are covered by place of residence coding. See OGSS documentation for details of the three character alpha/numeric codes. New value Ynn (England) or W00 (for Wales) using the same range of values as HROR. |
